Intermittent Operation

Operation may either be continuous or intermittent. Intermittent operations has its advantage for traditional bearings because it could release the heat generated from the operation,therefore, a higher PV value could be guaranteed. On the other hand, the intermittent operation interrupts the oil film forming and results into repeatable damages to the formed oil film causing a weak performance of the lubrication. In addition to the above, a marginal lubrication will be executed under higher load. CSB designed bearing could overcome the above disadvantages, even under the above conditions, CSB bearing is able to maintain a relative low friction by self-repairing of the oil film with its solid lubricants embedded ensures an excellent performance of the bearing.
